Robinson | Lighting & Bath Showroom

It is a great place to have ideas for overall kitchen & bathroom items and lights. I got to look at kitchen sinks, faucets, bathtub, shower etc everything plumbing at one place, very efficient and convenient experience. Selection was ok, I have visited other places with larger selections. They have some unique lights, their selection is not the biggest but I have seen very nice lights. Staff are friendly but do not try to sell things or pressure you to buy things, which I appreciate it!

Went for the bath side of things. The staff member who helped me (Michelle?) share tub options for the custom space I was dealing with, and then later fixture options for the simple-yet-elegant, was a godsend. Friendly, knowledgeable, aware of possible pros and cons for what I was thinking about, and what I might be looking for. Hands down, would come back just for the customer service here. Then, unfortunately, the tub ended up cracked on arrival (😭), but the staff I connected with (Kael) was amazing and amazingly responsive for getting it looked into, and coordinating with everyone to get a replacement lined up as quickly as possible. Both incredibly professional, and responsive. 10/10. I will definitely be going back for any of my sink/faucet/bath/shower needs.

Huge selection of lighting. Large store space and displays allows lighting pieces to be put apart from each other which makes it easier to see and choose. Ms Maysa - extremely helpful and patient, vast experience, knows all the catalogs and is able to suggest and recommend exclusive pieces that are not displayed in store but from catalogs. 5 stars.

Very disappointing experience. Ordered a new shower hose well over a month ago and decided to follow up when they didn't call two weeks after the projected delivery date. I stopped by the store and was told it was in the warehouse. When I asked why I wasn’t called, the indifferent person at the counter suggested I had given them the wrong phone number. When confirmed that they had the correct number she said that I could go and pick it up (a 24 Km round trip). When I asked whether it could be delivered, she said there would be a $50 charge. Her offhand, couldn’t-care-less attitude loses my confidence in this place. When ordering this item and previous items, they gave the distinct impression that their interest in service is in direct proportion to the amount of money you’re going to spend. They’ve lost a customer.

When looking for my new chandelier for my place, I visited at least 5 showrooms to find the right light. Many of the popular spots in Calgary surely had chandeliers that stuck out but nothing out of the ordinary. The challenge was that these companies wanted me to order one in, and that is considered a custom order, no discounts or refunds were available. With increased frustration, I googled again and found Robinson's lighting. I call this a wonderful boutique lighting store. You are not overwhelmed when you walk in. Rather, you are greeted immediately and walked and introduced to a sales associate. I was grateful to have met Susan who instantly listened to my needs and understood my frustration. I showed her pictures of my place and simply showed me 3 options, unlike the larger stores in Calgary. Immediately, we narrowed it down to 1 chandelier. Look, finding the right piece is important. But customer service is equally as important. Susan helped me narrow down my choice, helped me get to the budget I wanted and fantastically was able to get me the light within 1 week; where the other stores told me 3-4 weeks. Being in the business world, I can see through typical sales versus customer centered sales - and that's what Susan did. She took the time to understand my needs, actually cared about my choice and walked me through the process of understanding what I was getting. NOT ONCE did she pressure me. NOT ONCE did she over promise. NOT ONCE did she treat me like a number. Customer service was fantastic. The chandelier is beautiful and I'm thoroughly impressed. I will gladly tell anyone looking for a light or bathroom related stuff to visit Robinson's because they actually care about what you want rather than simply selling you a chandelier just to move product and volume. Susan earned my business and trust and she rightfully deserves this review. Much kudos to her, her team and the management staff. Thank you for making my home even more beautiful. Thank you.
